Light bulb stamp, unmounted red rubber stamp sheet
Scrapbooking, card making and mixed media stamps
To make the example card in the image gallery I first created the yellow circle by applying Distress ink with an inking brushI started with the center and expanded little by little by adding layers as I went along. It's better to put a little ink at a time to get a nice gradient. I then applied the light bulb stamp (the one on the top left of the board) inked with Versafine, stamped it a second time on a postit paper and hollowed it out to create a mask. Once the mask was in place I stamped my character from the plate Pabos AviatorI then bleached it with a brush and bleach.
When you want to work with bleach, you have to think beforehand about the choice of inks. Versafine will not be discolored by bleach because it is a pigmented ink, but the distress will be discolored. It is therefore necessary to test your inks in advance to avoid any unpleasant surprises. Also note that some colors are totally bleached, some others will change color.
To finish I created a shadow at the foot of the light bulb with watercolor paint and stamped the phrase from the Watchamacallit board
