On the first card in the image gallery, the background was first created using a Gelli Plate and acrylic paints. Here I used a simple method of applying paints with a stencil to the plate and then transferring the design to the paper. For the second and third card the background is done in the same way with different stencils and colors.
For the first card: I stamped the fossil stamp on black paper and embossed it with white powder. Then with a brush I applied bleach to the inside of the shell. For this technique you will need to find a black paper that reacts with bleach, not all do. I proceeded in stages by adding bleach here and there to lighten the pattern more or less. Don't hesitate to dry with a heat gun, the effect will be even more pronounced.
For the second card: I stamped the shell stamp and embossed it with Frosted Crystal powder from Ranger. The effect is matte and grainy which gives a rougher effect. I then proceeded as for the first card but with less emphasis on the bleach.
For the third card: the method is the same as the first but I stamped on dark blue paper and embossed with Ranger's Antiquities gold powder
The fourth card is stamped and embossed in white on a gray background. The central design is stamped in white on a black background and embossed with Frosted Crystal clear powder.
