Les Papillons

Jeudi 1 septembre 2011

The project I’m sharing with you today is a chipboard book. I think it’s still a work in progress as now I’ve photographed it I feel there’s more that’s needed !

I started  by tearing pages from an old book and covering the chipboard. I then stamped using the Wings stamp set and covering the boards with distress inks. Then I painted them all with Gesso, when it was dry I stamped again.

I’ve used a quote from the Nature quotes set on the second page and the last page I’ve used a flourishes die cut and butterfly die cuts. The rings to bind the book have been coloured using Red Pepper alcohol ink.

I hope you all have a great day !

Monday…Katzelkraft day!!

Lundi 15 août 2011

Goodmorning Katzelkraft lovers,

Here I am again, Jolande from Holland. This time I was playing with my new toy … the background is done with my new airbrush. It’s lovely to work with and I like the results!!!

Explore: Spray a few colors ecoline to make a background. Stamp a few images on the background in a similar color. Finally stamp a few images and the sentiment with Stazon black.

Nature: Spray a brown color ecoline to make a background. Stamp the flowers and the sentiment with Stazon black. Use chlorine to whiten the flowers; be careful and see to it that you have good ventilation when using it.

Have a nice day and a lot of stamping fun.

Jolande

Little bit of storage !

Jeudi 4 août 2011

The project I am sharing with you this week is a folder that I am storing some of my Katzelkraft stamps in ! I spotted a project in the latest Craft Stamper magazine and thought I would make one for my Katzelkraft stamps.

I’ve used Distress Stains and Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls spray on my craft mat and then pressed the covers onto it. I’ve then stamped the covers using Walnut Stain Distress Ink and Black Archival ink. The stamps sets I’ve used are Paris Monuments, Adore and Paris Postal. The lettering is made from Grunge Board letters, covered in black acrlic paint, sanded and then Vintage Photo DI rubbed over them.

I hope you all have a lovely day !

Mardi 12 juillet 2011

Hi everyone I have an altered box to show today which I’ve made to contain my brads and embellishments etc. I used the stamps Typograph 06 and Papillons 04 which I stamped on tissue paper and then applied to the box. Lots of crackle paint, shimmer mist, and distress embossing powder was added over the tissue paper and I die cut some flowers from fabric which were coloured with distress inks and added to the top together with gems, pearls and hardware.

Have a good day today.

Chris :)
