Today I made something special for a colleague who turned the age of 60!!! And that’s worth a present!! A special Merci chocolate box. I found the pattern on the blog of Lenet. http://scraplenet.blogspot.com/2011/06/dubbele-merci-kaart.html

Cut out the pattern and stamp the swirls with Versa mark, heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Mix a little bit of gesso with water. Use this mix to create some drops on it; do this by filling a brush and tapping it so that drops of gesso fall on your cardstock. Color it with Distress ink Rusty Hinge and Wild Honey.

Stamp the other swirls, images and sentiments with Stazon black on the cardstock. Make a scallop border (in this case with a Martha Stewart punch) for the inside from brown and white paper. Glue everything together and fill the box with Merci chocolates.
