Tag – Chris

Mardi 28 juin 2011

Hi everyone, Chris here with a tag to show you today made in a collage style with the beautiful stamps from Single Arch, Bois A6Chapitre A6, KTZ77 Vu d’iciCage et Chandelier, Vinci Joconde KTZ64.

The Bois stamp that I used isn’t that visible in the photograph as I used it on the base layer as a resist with clear ink and then sponged my distress ink background over it. The rest of the stamps have been used collage style with permanent olive green ink. I’ve added doodling in white pen, dimensional gloss on the birds and letters and gold pen, ribbon and trinkets at the top.

Enjoy your day and see you in a couple of weeks.

Chris :)

Scrapbook layout by Neil

Lundi 27 juin 2011

Hi there everyone

I hope this finds you well and rested after the weekend!

Today I thought I would share this layout with you. I used KTZ55 Carnival Venise for a clean and simple (For me!) layout of a trip up to London to see Andre Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera.

I used two of the sentiments to stamp a frame around the edge of the white cardstock. After that I lightly inked with faded jeans distress ink using the blending tool. The photos had been printed with a white frame so I just matted onto black card. I then stamped some of the theatrical images onto white card, silver metallic finish and matted and added them to the layout. I used copic markers to add some colour to the one image and added a wider embossed silver matt before adding the black.

Very clean and simple but I think the images are so stunning they need very little embellishing….

Till next time, I hope you have a FABULOUS creative week.

Altered Book

Jeudi 23 juin 2011

The project I have to show you today is my first attempt at an altered book !

I’ve used acrylic paint on the cover along with Distress Inks, Viva Terra and Viva Metallic paint. The stamp sets I’ve used are French Quotes, Nature, Fleurs and Physalis.

Inside the book I’ve made the panels using paper from some packaging and blende Distress Inks over it then stamped with Black and Cobalt ink. The butterfly is stamped onto acetate and coloured on the reverse with Promarkers.

Hope you have a good day.

Vive La france: By Zuzu

Mardi 21 juin 2011

Today I am using the set ‘Paris Monuments’ and the colours of the French flag. It Started with the vintage style tag I made a few weeks ago…

Aujourd’hui, je suis en utilisant le jeu “Monuments de Paris” et les couleurs du drapeau français. Cela a commencé avec la balise de style vintage que j’ai fait il ya quelques semaines ….

I have been playing with this theme quite a lot since then. Here are two cards and another tag.

J’ai joué avec ce thème beaucoup depuis. Voici deux cartes et un autre tag.

And a Domino Magnet /Aimant Domino…

Partytime!!

Lundi 20 juin 2011

Goodmorning Katzelkraft stampers,

For today it’s PARTYtime…I have to go to a party and wanted to make an
original gift….
I made a special gift packaging for a bottle of wine.

For the back part:
Punch the paper (here a Martha Stewart punch) and stamp the edge with
Distress ink Antique linen. Color it with the same distress ink..and the
edge with vintage photo. The stamps I used are from KTZ56
For the front part:
Punch the paper in the same way as the backpart. Stamp the image (KTZ53)
with Versamark. Emboss with clear embossing powder and color with
Vintage photo. Stamp the swirl with Stazon Timber brown.

Glue a metal plate (Ten Second Studio) on cardboard and cut out wings,
heart en crown ( all from Sissix), emboss with embossing folder and
cover it with black acryl paint. Wipe away most of the paint. Glue
everything onto the gift wrap.
Hope you like my gift!!

Have a nice day Jolande

Notebook – Chris

Mardi 14 juin 2011

Hi everyone! I’ve made a notebook to show today using stamps KTZ91, KTZ93, KTZ 94 and KTZ96.

The notebook covers  are chipboard covered with card that I stamped on. The front cover image was coloured with copics and pencils and the title is handwritten. The card for the inside and back covers was inked with distress ink, sprayed with perfect pearls and water, dried and then glued to the covers. The covers were painted with a layer of gloss medium to protect them as I’ll be keeping the notebook in my handbag. I put the book together with some printer paper cut size using my binding machine.

Enjoy your day!

Chris :)

Card Time by Neil

Lundi 13 juin 2011

Good morning everyone.

It’s my day to share with you and today I have a card to show you using KTZ48 Fleurs grunge and KTZ94

The card at first glance is fairly simple

But I thought I’d also share with you how I made the paper and the flower.

Take two pieces of white card, ink the flourish in sepia and stamp onto one piece then stamp onto the second piece without re inking. I used the lighter piece.

Then ink the leaf stamp with a different ink (I used copper) and overstamp onto the lighter piece of card.

Colour this piece with distress ink in Aged Mahogany and Forest Moss, spritz with water and dry before inking the stamp from KTZ94 in sepia ink and overstamp the whole piece.

There you have a lovely background paper which you can customise to your projects by varying the colours you use.

Now for the flower

Stamp 3 flowers onto inked card and cut out. Ink the edges to tone down any white edges and cut out as shown

From the 3 larger pieces cut the petal to the right away, then fold and glue as shown.

Cutting away the base as needed and using something the dries clear (I use 3d diamond glaze) assemble as shown.

(A tip, don’t throw the petals that you cut off away as you can use them to add more petals into the flower)

So there you have it. Hope you like this card and perhaps with try to make some of your own pointed flowers! I made these out of card but you could also use grunge paper too.

Have a lovely day.

Neil

Gift box

Jeudi 9 juin 2011

The project I am sharing with you today is a gift box I made for my Mum.I’m actually away on holiday at the moment so I hope this posts OK !

The stamp sets I used are Fleurs and also the Paris/Adore set. I stamped the images from the Fleurs set with Archival Olive and Black ink and used Wild Honey Distress Ink blended over the card. I’ve stamped one of the daisy flowers on to white card, blended Distress Ink over it and then cut out a Rosette. The centre is from the Paris/Adore set and is stamped onto Grunge paper.

I hope you all have a great day !

Sue
